On July 26, 28 and 30, 1986 Earl Wild performed three recitals at the ‘Wynyard” estate
of the 9th Marquess of Londonderry to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the death of Lizst (July 31, 1886) Mr. Wild’s three recitals were tilted “Liszt the Poet”, “Liszt the Transcriber” and “Liszt the Virtuoso.” Thankfully, the recitals were videotaped. Bonuses include a documentary on the recitals, video interviews with Wild from CBS-TV, BBC-TV and Dutch TV. Audio bonuses include Wild speaking at Carnegie Mellon, an interview with Donald Manildi from 2003, a 1986 BBC interview and a 1982 interview.
