Hugo Riesenfeld’s arrangement of the Bizet score for the 1915 premiere of this early DeMille masterpiece, restored by musicologist & conductor Gillian Anderson for The Classic Movie Project. Includes historic 1914/15 recordings of excerpts from Carmen sung by the film’s star, Geraldine Farrar.
