Cliburn and the Moscow Philharmonic conducted by Kirill Kondrashin in Beethoven’s “Emperor” Concerto and Tchaikovsky’s Piano Concerto No. 1 (Kondrashin was the conductor on Cliburn’s best selling RCA recording of the Tchaikovsky.) These 1962 performances also include encores by Chopin and Liszt.
